Childcare Studies
CCBIT offers nationally recongised qualification in Childcare as follows:
Courses are conveniently offered 3 nights per week: Mon - Wed from 5pm until 8:30pm and there is one day per week work experience (vocational placement).
Tuition fees can be paid up front or in monthly installments.

Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to work as an Assistant in a Childcare or Family Day Care Centre. This could be your first step to a satisfying and rewarding career!
Note: Senior First Aid is one of the units delivered in this course. The cost of this is not included in the course fee and will be advised on application. If you already have a valid Senior First Aid Certificate please attach a verified copy to your enrolment form.

Diploma of Children's Services - CHC50908
Here you will learn the team leadership skills you will need to be able to supervise the day to day operations of a Childcare or Family Day Care Centre. Pre-requisits for this course include a range of study units from the Certificate III in Children's Services. For full details see course brochure below.
Career Prospects: Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to work as a supervisor in a Childcare or Family Day Care facility.

Blue Card
An important component of your training course will be work experience so that you can put the skills and knowledge that you gain in class to practical use.
The Commission for Children and Young People requires students seeking to work with children under 18 years of age to to obtain a Blue Card. You must be in possession of your Blue Card before commencing your work experience placement. Applications for volunteer students are processed free of charge.

Vocational Placement (work experience)
Vocational Placement is a requirement of the course and entails that you work in a Childcare Centre or Family Day Care Centre for one day each week. You will be mentored by a staff member in the Centre and will gain valuable hands on experience in this way.
